"Your humble servant sees off the Dragon King and Son-in-Law," Chancellor Xia bowed, his right hand extended forward.

Zhao Guang said indifferently, "You go back to your duties. The elders don't need to see us off."

"How could I neglect my duty" Chancellor Xia followed as he spoke.

They walked all the way to the main gate of the Dragon Palace. When they got there, Chancellor Xia stopped and said, "Your humble servant will see you here. May your journey be smooth!"

Hao Ren turned to Chancellor Xia and said, "Thank you for guiding us today, good-bye!"

"Good-bye" Chancellor Xia was momentarily stunned before realizing that the "Son-in-Law" was saying farewell.

For Hao Ren's simple words, he felt deeply moved. He stared at Hao Ren speechless, not knowing what to say.

"Follow me," Zhao Guang passed through the city defense formation and walked towards the sea water in front of him, "Left three steps, forward one step, right six steps."

Hao Ren hurriedly took out an Aquatic Pearl and put it in his mouth. He didn't dare to be lax at all. Following Zhao Guang's footsteps closely.

Chancellor Xia, who was standing by the palace gate, watched the back of the Son-in-Law leave with tears welling up in his eyes: "What a virtuous and considerate son-in-law! Who knows when we will meet again"

In this vast ocean, Zhao Guang seemed to be taking leisurely steps, while Hao Ren was sweating profusely. He felt even more nervous than during the English listening section of his college entrance exam, fearing that he might mishear Zhao Guang's commands or make a mistake in his steps due to tension.

This continued for over ten minutes before Hao Ren finally followed Zhao Guang out of the formation. Even with an Aquatic Pearl in his mouth, his clothes were drenched once again—though it wasn't seawater but sweat.

Back on the ground, Hao Ren spat out the bead and his mouth was filled with bitterness. The sky was completely dark; only the moonlight over the sea still offered some illumination.

Hao Ren took out his phone and saw that it was already 10 PM according to Fuxiang’s time. Though there wasn’t a sensation of "a day in the Dragon Palace is a year on Earth," time had indeed flown by quickly.

Zhao Guang started up his car, Hao Ren wiped the bead clean and walked over, saying, "Uncle, I’ll give this bead back to you."

"No need. Keep it for yourself." Zhao Guang revved the engine of his car, saying, "Get in. It’s too late now; let’s go directly to my place to rest. You can head to school tomorrow."

Hao Ren thought that at this time Grandma and Dad and Mom should already be sleeping, so there was no point in going back to bother them. He thus nodded his head and said, "Then I’ll trouble Uncle."

On the way back under the night sky, Zhao Guang asked Hao Ren, “How did you feel”

"It’s very different from what I imagined," Hao Ren answered.

"Haha, every month I return to the Dragon Palace once to deal with some accumulated matters. This time taking you there was just for you to familiarize yourself with the environment. The Dragon Palace isn’t a place where we reside often, but it still holds great significance for us." Zhao Guang said.

Hao Ren nodded in agreement, suddenly remembering what had happened at the ice storage facility and said, "When I went to the ice storage facility with Chancellor Xia today, I saw an imprisoned Heavenly Maiden. Do you know about this matter, Uncle"

"I do. That’s a Heavenly Maiden who was struck down from Heaven two hundred years ago; she should have been released according to the original agreement," Zhao Guang replied.

“I had Chancellor Xia release her,” Hao Ren said.

To Hao Ren's surprise, Zhao Guang didn’t react much. "She was just a Heavenly Maiden who made a mistake, nothing serious. If you’ve released her, then fine. Keeping her locked up in our Dragon Palace isn't an option either."

Since he considered Hao Ren his ‘son-in-law’, Zhao Guang would grant him this right and certainly wouldn’t blame Hao Ren for it. Besides, Zhao Guang was well aware that Chancellor Xia handled matters cautiously; the situation would definitely be managed properly.

Hao Ren grunted in response, feeling relieved. He had been worried that Zhao Guang might scold him for making decisions on his own.

The car drove smoothly on the highway and returned to Zhao Ziyan's home after a short while.

When they got home, it was already 11 PM. Zhao Hongyu came downstairs in her pajamas upon hearing their arrival.

"Did you two come back together Are you hungry" Zhao Hongyu asked with concern.

"No, I'm not hungry," Hao Ren shook his head. He had eaten two small red fruits and was not hungry until now, although he felt a bit tired from walking around the various palaces all day.

"I'm also not hungry. Let's go to bed early." Zhao Guang took off his coat with some weariness. Dealing with the dragon palace affairs all day wasn't any easier than Hao Ren’s work.

It was then that Hao Ren understood why Zhao Ziyan, who loved playing around, had little interest in going to the dragon palace: it turned out there weren’t many places to explore and she always got back home late at night, so naturally, she wasn't interested.

"You can sleep in Ziyan's room today. I have some design drafts that need my attention tonight, so I've occupied the small loft studio," Zhao Hongyu, with her hair tied up neatly, said to Hao Ren.

"Can’t I stay in my grandma’s old room" Hao Ren asked.

"Because your grandma won't be staying here anytime soon, I sprayed insect repellent into that room today; it still smells strong and isn't suitable for sleeping," Zhao Hongyu smiled gently and explained.

Before Hao Ren could say anything more, Zhao Hongyu interrupted him, pulling his sleeve to take him upstairs quietly towards Zhao Ziyan's room.

"Go to bed already!" Zhao Ziyan shouted loudly from inside the room.

“You naughty girl,” Zhao Hongyu took out her key and opened the door. As expected, she saw Zhao Ziyan wearing pink pajamas with her hair loosely tied up, playing on a computer while seated on a chair.

She turned around and saw Hao Ren, immediately becoming displeased. "Why are you here again!"

"Ah Ren is sleeping in your room today, so don't play on the computer anymore and go to bed early!" Zhao Hongyu pulled Hao Ren inside, then opened the wardrobe and took out bedding, throwing it onto a carpet beside Zhao Ziyan's bed.

"Mom!" Seeing that Zhao Hongyu had arranged for Hao Ren to stay in her room without asking for her consent, Zhao Ziyan angrily shouted.

"It's no use calling. I need the small attic studio, and the bedroom where Shendeng stayed was sprayed with disinfectant this afternoon; it’s too cold in the living room to sleep there today." Zhao Hongyu ignored Zhao Ziyan's protest, spread out the bedding, then turned to Hao Ren and said, "Ah Ren, go to bed early."

"Thank you for your hospitality, Auntie," Hao Ren sincerely replied.

"If Ah Zi disturbs your sleep, come find me to complain." Zhao Hongyu said that and left the room, closing the door behind her.

"You—" As soon as Zhao Hongyu left the room, Zhao Ziyan immediately leaped up from her chair. "You did this on purpose!"

Hao Ren felt wronged; he had actually come over to his grandmother's old room intending to rough it out for one night. He hadn't expected that room to be sprayed with disinfectant and become uninhabitable.

However, Hao Ren didn’t plan on explaining anything to Zhao Ziyan; he took off his coat and walked towards the bathroom.

Zhao Ziyan was even more infuriated by how familiar he seemed. "I won't allow you to stay in my room!"

"You should go to bed early, sleeping in during the day and playing games until late at night—what kind of lifestyle is that You have classes tomorrow!" Hao Ren turned around and lectured her.

"Hmph! Who are you to lecture me" Zhao Ziyan angrily grabbed a pillow beside her and threw it at Hao Ren. demon kings in the Sea of Myriad Demons… Counting this way, I owe him a favor."Zhao Kuo picked up the alcohol bottle in his hand and drank a large mouthful. After coming out from the Sea of Myriad Dem...
